About BUENDIA
Is a mexican ceramist and esculptor. His work is influenced by the lightness and shapes of clouds as a representation of dreams. On ceramics, he likes to experiment with finishings like ashes and volcanic rock dust.
For this piece made of rainbow marble, Buendia mastered the soft and lightnes. His work is very smooth and clean. The marble at first sight perfectly imitates the texture an colors of a wood object and and appears in the form of a cloud sleeping in its bed. Chimalhuacan own a big tradition of stonemasons generations, the explorer Gosta Montell documents its work on 1934.
